Long-serving Labour councillor and former Glasgow MSP Hanzala Malik has died at the age of 67. Cllr Malik represented Woodlands on Glasgow City Council from 1995 until 2007 when our Hillhead ward was created. He was a councillor for Hillhead from 2007 to 2012 and a Labour MSP for the Glasgow region from 2011 to 2016. At the 2017 council elections, he won the Hillhead seat again.
